I just started using the product "Tuf-Foot" on my dog to strengthen his paws, prevent cracks, and protect them from the cold. He HATES when I put it on him, and I'm wondering whether it's worth it to continue using the product. Has anyone ever tried it or heard anything about it?
I really don't know whether he's objecting to the product or me! He doesn't like his feet being touched, but he seems to HATE the application of this product. It has alcohol in it, which makes it very potent, and I'm not sure if maybe it stings his feet when I apply it.
I initially attempted to buy the Musher's Secret, but Cabela's didnt carry it. So, I tried the Tuf-Paws, as my vet had recommended I try it previously. I noticed that someone else has inquired about this product on this forum in July and didn't get any responses, so I'd thought I'd try again to see if anyone has tried this stuff. I'd hate to keep using it if it was either making him uncomfortable or just not doing anything!
Puff doesn't look forward to having Musher's Secret applied to her paws and between her toes but she never seriously objects or fights me over it, probably just to get out sooner for our morning walks. ;D
I'm fairly sure "MS" doesn't have any alcohol in it because there's none of that odor. If dogs have any cracks at all in their paws, alcohol would sure cause some stinging.
