Well, I needed a "pick me up" this morning and got it. The French team at Alfort emailed my results from Fuji, Jazz and Mata--- all 3 came back Clear for the Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM) gene and will be added to the White (clear) List. 8)
It was a little dicey earlier as the DNA samples apparently got caught up in a mail strike in France. 15 days later, they finally got them! Yikes! All 3 are now OFA Good hips, elbows clear, heart clear, CNM clear and CERF annually since 7 wks. Fuji and Jazz are PRA carriers. Haven't done Mata yet for PRA... I'm kinda of the mindset at this point that I'll be sticking w/ PRA clear dogs anyhow since the bad gene came in some 8 generations back from my field lines and I'm having a hell of a time getting rid of it apparently! Sure don't want to invite it back after all that! -Anne

Congratulations, Anne! Those health clearances definitely keep me on pins-and-needles while waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for the results to come back.
I was thrilled when Monty's Optigen test came back clear/normal, too...his dam was a "B" and his sire was an "A" so he had a 50-50 chance of being a carrier.
