So saturday started off with diarehea in her crate, i have been feeding her pumkin every day along with chicken and rice. Her stools have firmed up some but still had a bit of blood in it. She stopped drinking water yesterday ( I did chicken broth today and worked great). This morning i called the vet to explain everything plus say that she stopped drinking, vet said as long as she was playing fine and acting normal not to worry just keep a close eye on her. Well this afternoon she went out to pee and peed about 7 times in 2 mins, and she was also peeing blood. I called Emergency (it is a holiday in Canada) and the vet said to bring her in.
Did a urine analysis thinks it might be a kidney infection, wants me to bring a "first pee in the morning " sampe in the morning.
Does all of this seem odd, vet says not to worry that is is not overly concerned at the moment.
Abby had bloody urine when she had a UTI. Antibiotics cleared it up. I hope Harlee is feeling better soon. Please keep us posted.
Thanks Georgie, just seems like she is at the Vet soooo much!
Things seem to come in bunches...don't they? I hope Harlee is better soon.
I would be concerned with the blood in stool and urine.
Hoping this is not a kidney infection but the lesser UTI.
Hope she is feeling better soon.
did they also check a stool sample? What do they say about blood in the stool - is it fresh blood (red) or old (black)?
