You mean if he's still got diarrhea after the 24 hours of fasting?
He had diarrhea yesterday morning (I had fed him breakfast) and then again at lunch. I gave him rice for dinner, and a bit of cooked turkey (no chicken in the house) and he had diarrhea again this morning... I'm fasting him completely now, so 24 hours will be around 7pm tonight. So, if he still has diarrhea after tonight, it's vet time?
And, is it back to regular food slowly after fasting or am I going to be feeding bland? (Gawd, you'd think this is the first time this has happened!!)
When you start feeding him again add in canned pumpkin(just pumpkin w/ nothing else) for a few days. It's also a good idea to give about a tablespoon of yogurt a day. Most people say rice as part of a bland diet. However, rice can be difficult to digest. If using something like that I'd say potatoes are a better option. Cottage cheese can also be used as part of a bland diet.
Hope he's feeling better.
