Which is why I threw out any "painted" toys I had made in China.

Thanks for the heads-up, though sadly not surprising. I guess it's a blessing in disguise that Jes can't really have toys anyways - too destructive. We stick with marrow bones and the occasional rope.

We really need to just stop buying crap from the Chinese and
they'd fold like a cheap suit (tho I know it's hard not to)
WalMart is one place that I'd never buy anything for my dog
or for my human loved ones for that matter.

I'm not surprised. Check your Nylabones too. They all used to be made in the USA but that last one I bought, a new dental type, was made in China. It is waiting to go back to Petsmart. >

Just check the labels and leave the China crap on the shelf. Stores won't re-order if the shelves are full. It's your only weapon against this. That goes for everthing, not just dog toys.

True, but they literally last a matter of seconds with him, and I'm always concerned about choking hazards - that and it's not in my budget to buy something that lasts for 30 seconds. In fact, I'm still finding pieces of a toy I thought would last in the bed.

Which nylabone was made in China? I got 2 for Jonah before we got him (about a month ago), and never thought to look at the label, now all I have are the bones (no packaging).

I have been trying to find out where Kongs and Nylabones are made. These are just about the only thing I can give Breezy, as she destroys practically everything else. I have the packaging from a new Galileo bone (Nylabone) and it says "Made in USA". I don't know about other Nylabone products. I bought her a new Kong toy, the Kong Wubba, and this particular one is made for use in the water so it floats. Unfortunately she will not be playing with it, as I am taking it back because I just looked at the packaging and it says "Made in China." I don't know about other Kong products. I think they are based in Denver, but I would really like to know where their products are made. Ugh.
