You feed Candidae Platinum, right? Maybe it's a food that does not work for him. It didn't for my dog - hot spots, crappy coat. It also contains sunflower oil, which some dogs do not well on. Long time ago, I fed my dog California Natural, which had sunflower oil, and he seemed to scratch a lot on that food. Once I got him off it, he stopped scratching. If its an environmental issue, meaning could be the time of year when pollens and stuff are acting up, maybe try an omega-3 supplement. My friend has good luck with Nupro.

My dog Ernie is sensitive to wheat and chicken fat.

I can't feed him kibble for any lenght of time as he itches non stop. I started on raw and he is a different dog.

You could try a raw diet and see how that goes. We have a raw section that might help.
