Is there a minimum % that a lab needs of omega 6 fats for a healthy coat and also what is the max as well?
Also, what is a good balance ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 fats too??
Somewhere I thought I read that a labrador needs to have 2% minimum of omega 6 fats for a healthy coat. Anyone heard of this?.
I went to the pet food store today and got totally more confused by the woman in the store.
What is better to look for regarding fat in the dogs diet?? The % of fat or a higher omega 6 and omega 3 than the % of fat.??
When I look at some foods, their total fat is around say 13% but they have a higher omega 6 and omega 3 than say a food with a higher total fat or say 15% fat but lower o6 and o3. Hope you can follow what I am trying to say and help me. Which is better for a lab's skin?? higher total fat or higher omega 6's?? Thanks
