    DefaultNew food & soft/runny poop?

I recently switched the boys to Innove EVO red meat small bites. Frankie's poop was fine but was pretty soft this morning. Yesterday Tucker had some diarrhea. The pet store guy said it's normal for their poop to be like this after switching to this food, but that it should clear up in a week or two. True?

Sometimes. Remy's never cleared up until I took her back off the food.

Ah poop. I hope it clears up, they really like this food and so do I.

Remy never could tolerate it and Dixie ended up with pancreatitis on it.

How much are you feeding? Remember, it's a very rich and calorically dense food. They will need some transition time to it. I personally would be worried after a week. It didn't take Rider that long to make the adjustment to it.

Where did my stinking reply go?! >

Started them out the same as Nutro - 1-1/2 cups twice a day. Just cut it back the other day to 1-1/4 cups. The problem is, Tucker will not eat it plain so I still have to add something. Usually a bit of green beans. This morning I added a tsp. of plain yogurt.

You're feeding too much. Evo has twice as much protein as Nutro, all meat whereas Nutro is full of grain. Also, Evo has more than 100 calories more per cup than Nutro.

Cut back to 2 cups. They won't need 3 cups on a food like Innova unless they are very active and can justify the calories.

Really? OK. One cup twice a day then. Can I still add a bit of greens for Tuck?
    Thanks you guys, appreciate it!

Sure. It doesn't seem like a lot when you look at it in the bowl but the food itself is very calorie/ingredient dense. See if the poops firm up on the 2 cups. If they do, stick with feeding that amount.
