    yes she can.

I believe (hopefully others will correct me if I am wrong) that the bordatella (kennel cough) vaccine is only about 70% effective.

I believe you are correct Baloo. It doesn't cover all stains of bordetella.

Yes she can. I had a dog who always got KC just by me saying the word *sarcasm

Strangely I stopped vaccinating my entire crew for it a few years ago and have not had a case of it since.

Since you vaccinated I'd say your chances of having dogs with kennel cough goes up 70%.

I'm like Kim. I don't vaccinate for it and we don't get kennel cough here. The only time I did, that dog got kennel cough twice that year.

Thanks for all your replies. We had a rough night last night. Any suggestions how to get through this without waking the whole neighborhood. Should we see the vet or just let it run it's course, we've had different opinions from different people. We were planning to take her up north to our trailer this long weekend but not if she's like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

keep her away from other dogs, it's highly contagious. PLAIN robotussin will aleviate the cough.

thanks Dani I'll try the cough syrup but she seems to be getting better. Both Annie and her best buddy got the kennel cough from the leash free park last week. There were about 15 dogs playing together so I wonder how many others got it. How long does it stay contagious. Thanks for your help.
