    Defaulthard spot after spay

Hi! My 5month old lab mix was spayed 3 weeks ago. Her stiches were removed on the 11th day and everything seemed to be fine. But, now there is a hard "lump" there. It doesn't seem to be bothering her and no drainage or anything like that. Is this normal? Also, forgot to metion that she was pretty active the days after the operation and what the vet said was a fluid build up that hung down because of her playing to much. Thanks. Keith

It's probably a little scar tissue from the fluid build up, but if I were concerned, I would have my vet recheck her during regular hours. Better safe than sorry.

I agree, Peanut had that for awhile after she was spayed, it went away eventually.

Maybe just call the vet monday and run it by them?

Both of my girls had a little lump after sapying. The vet checked it out & with Molly they felst it was a reaction to the suture material & it would go away. It did. With Abby, the vet felt it was a little fluid from her running in the yard several days after her spay. She was so good & then took off like a shot the day I let her out without a leash on. : It did absorb & she is fine too.

It is always best to have the vet check it so will not worry.
