Hi this is my first post here.I was wondering if anybody has a solution to this problem.
It only happens with chain collars and it looks awful.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to clean the stain.

Are you leaving the collar on all the time, or just for training?
A good shampoo should take most of the stain away, and if you are leaving the chain collar on all the time - don't! It's not safe.
Thanks for the reply. We only have it on for her walks.
might be a poor quality collar as well...
I would guess that if you purchase a high-quality chain, you won't have that problem. Sometimes, with the lesser-quality chains, the different metals in the color can corrode and leave marks....similar to human jewelry leaving green stains on your skin.

Ditto to what the others have said. I would actually ditch the chain collar all together. A flat nylon or leather collar is perfectly adequate for walking.
I have a martingale collar that does that. It wasn't a cheap collar by any means either. I just bought a new one (same type but made by a different company) and so far it doesn't seem to do this.
Every couple of days wash the collar with a dish soap.
