I had posted a few times on different links about my lab, Hogan's bad knees. He had TPLO surgery and doing GREAT. He came home quite sore and I was a little scared because he looked so different. No matter how much research you do, you are not prepared for your little baby to come home "sick". He is feeling really good and has a full range of motion in his leg - we do therapy 3 times a day. He is now off of his meds and starting to drool a little bit and be a bit more vocal (called the vet and now giving some aspirin if he seems in pain). He loves the attention, but always looks at us to take him for a long run - which we can't do for a few more weeks. He is doing short leashed walks around the back yard and we are still using a sling, in case he falls. I just thought I would write to tell you all about his progress.
Melissa and Hogan
Good to hear the recovery is going well. We've been there with Hudler!
So glad to hear Hogan is doing well! It is not an easy recovery (been there, done that!!) but it will be over before you know it and Hogan will be back to his old self!
Glad to hear he is doing well. thank you for updating us.
I know it is hard seeing them in pain.
I'm glad he's doing well I hope the rest of his recovery goes smoothly.
