I have been giving my labs brita on tap water for about 5 yrs. I have a choco lab who happens to also be 5 yrs. Just found out that the brita on tap removes the zinc from the water. Isn't it zinc that helps with skin and coat issues?? My lab is the choco lab with all the skin and coat problems. What do you think........could there be a link??
chances are you dog gets a sufficient amount of it thru diet.
I agree.chances are you dog gets a sufficient amount of it thru diet.
His skin problems are far more likely to be connected to something like his food than the water.
Also, why are you filtering his water? regular tap water is fine...my dogs drink out of dirty puddles.
Doubt it has anything to do with the water.
I know you have been having tons of problems with this dog, however allergy and skin issues are usually due to breeding issues...
Have you ever done the full on allergy skin test to determine once and for all what the dog is allergic to?
