Hi all..I have parrots, I make a birdy salad once a month and freeze it in containers..taking out a container when I need it. My question is..could I mix some of this in Dakota's dry foods?
It contains...mixed baby greens, carrots, sweet taters, pea pods, snow peas, green beans, corn, peas, broccoli slaw mix, peppers (ass't, some are hot), brown rice(cooked), 16 bean mix (cooked), and other ass't veggies, mostly fresh, apples (done in food processor).
I would check out the raw board on this forum.
Veggies, especially those that have been put through a food processor or lightly blanched, are excellent for dogs. We give Larry veggies with his dinner at least 5 nights a week.
Yep -- I don't see why not.
I think that looks great! The only one I would consider taking out is the hot peppers (depending on how hot) as Dakota is still a pup, might upset his stomach. Although Gracie thoroughly enjoyed the remains of a can of Jalapeno Cheese dip she rescued from the garbage can the other day! :
My Maisy ate a whole fresh chili once. The little devil swiped it from the counter. She made some horrible hacking noises for a few seconds after swallowing it but then looked at me with a wagging tail as if to say "That was great!". :Although Gracie thoroughly enjoyed the remains of a can of Jalapeno Cheese dip she rescued from the garbage can the other day!
These dogs will eat anything.
She probably changed her mind when it came time to go #2.Originally Posted by Trickster
