Raw meaty bones are the best. You can get marrow bones from your butcher or most grocery stores. Always feed them raw -- never cooked. Cooked bones can splinter and most of the good nutritional value is lost in the process.

If you try the raw marrow bones (your dog will love you for it!), give them to her in short periods -- 30 minutes one time, then 45 minutes, then 60, etc., until her system can tolerate it. The reason behind this is because the marrow is very rich.

I second what trickster said, My Saska has just started having Marrow Bones and she loves them, luckily so does her stomach

Exactly what Trickster does. I let Oona have it for about a half hour, take it away from her and throw it in a freezer bag and back in the freezer for the next day.

If she can tolerate bully sticks, then let her have them. We don't do them around here...we have nylabones, and raw bones.

My neighbor likes to the get the boys the smoked femurs from the pet store and Rider always throws those up.

I don't give Oona bully sticks just because of what they are.

What exactly are they. We didn't buy it, my gf's father gave one to us, and we never gave it to her. Then we went to play tennis and we like to take her, so we gave it to her to keep her occupied.
