    DefaultSad News

Sidney has been having problems with her back legs so we took her to the vet for xrays, well they saw something they didnt like so we had it sent to have a specialist read them. Well yesterday the Vet called with the results.. Bone cancer in her left femur. Nothing we can do but keep her comfy. THey say they amputate legs with bone cancer, but her other leg has what they call a football injury, so even if we wanted to we couldnt, because her other leg is bad. We have her on meds, and she is doing really well. But boy I had a bad night lastnight, just trying to take it all in. She will be 10 yrs old in April, boy what at surprise. I figured just a torn ligament or something, never this... Well, please keep Sidney in your prayers she sure can use them......

I am very sorry to hear this. How very sad.
Have you considered a dog cart or wheel chair? I have seen dogs with missing limbs or poor use of them with these and myself have considered one for our girl who is only 7 and has poor mobility.
