How does one go about selecting a vet? Are there certain questions I should be asking?
Ask for recommendations from dog owning friends, trainers, etc. Any doggy person should be able to point you towards a reputable vet.
also, if you can't get recommendations from friends or others in your area.. I would visit some of your local vets. Just simply tell them you are in search of a vet and just wanted to stop in to meet the veterinarian. Vets are very busy but they should be able to find time to say hello to a future customer. Take a look around look for cleanliness, do the other customers appear satisfied. Some clinics will let you take a tour of the facility but some may not due to liability reasons. Just use your judgement, you will know when you feel good about a place once you step foot inside the clinic and start talking to ppl.
Hope you find one that is suitable for you and your babies needs
Ok, how does one find a holistic vet?
Word of mouth. If not maybe check the yellow pages for ads then go visit the place to see how you feel about it.
