    DefaultWeight!?

Hi all..just came in from vets, 3rd round of shots, heartworm, etc. Dakota is now 21.4 lbs, he'll be 11 weeks old tomorrow. Field lab..how's that sound for weight! Is he in the ballpark for that age/type? He's a good eater, so hopefully this is good. Vet said he's looking fine! thanks ... Jackie

Labs are so diverse. To give you an idea my lab at 12 weeks was 17 1/4. His brother and littermate who was the same weight at 8 weeks is now 21 lbs.

If the vet says he's in good shape then I wouldn't worry about it.
I work on the theory that if you can train a killer whale to launch itself out of a swimming pool, roll on its side and urinate into a small plastic cup, given only a whistle and a bucket of fish, without a choke chain, then you don’t need those confrontational techniques with dogs. -Dr. Dodman

Well..that sounds about right for Dakota..10 weeks 21.4lbs. He's a good eater..but not a lil piggy, sometimes he leaves a bit in his dish..and now we're into training so I use some of his daily food for training rewards.
    Thanks.. Jackie
