I recently read a couple posts that mentioned to brush your lab in order to help reduce the "doggie" smell. I have been doing this for about a week and it does appear to be working. I want to buy a better brush, what does everyone suggest?
I use a regular dog comb...a "slick" metal one. I also have one that looks like a horse brush which is good for removing dead hairs.
I know a lot of people on here use the Zoom Groom.
I use the Zoom Groom and really like it. I don't know about helping with a smell tho. I've not noticed that Sam has one. However, it's great for getting out hair without doing any damage.
Zoom Groom here too Mocha loves the way it feels and it is great at getting the loose hair out.

The Ferminator....it works great.

I use a curry comb that I had leftover from my mare. It works great, and the kids love it.

Is the Zoom Groom like the "Shed-Ender"?
What about for removing dust? A rag doesn't seem to get it. I'd thought about horse brushes as well.

We use a slicker brush and a regular boars hair brush. The natural bristles are good for distributing the oils over the coat....
