Does anyone have any experience with sebborha in dogs?? I had my lab at the vet today and they are checking her thyroid, giving her an antibacterial bath tomorrow as she has a yeasty smell and a small type rash on her tummy. I had noticed the smell for a while but didn't really think it could be a skin issue. Is it related to diet or virus or what??
They are checking her thyroid as she also has some hair loss on her chin, around her eyes and stomach.
Just an update. My lab's blood tests came back and her thyroid is on the low of normal so the vet is now going to do a more extensive blood test for thyroid. We should have the results on Monday.
She also had a special bath today for the seborhea / smell.
Has anyone had any experience with a lab with hypothyroidism.
no experience here but did want to wish some fast healing for you guys. Hope its not too serious and can be kept under control if it is indeed a thyroid issue.

Blood work came back that her thyroid is working find but that she has a low normal regular thyroid test.
She had to have another bath today for the sebborhea. Her skin is dry, scaley and itchy.
Has anyone had any experience with this skin problem?
