Your's is not the only one. It's gross but natural for a dog. You can try Forbid or Detour from the petstore or vet which you put in the dogs food and it's supposed to make it taste nasty. You can also try pinapple juice on their food it's supposed to have the same effect. It may help it may not. The main thing is to watch them close teach "leave it" and pick up after them right away.

I've tried all remedy's and the ONLY one that works is picking it up and getting rid of it.
Have you ever heard of a dog only eating frozen not fresh? Ours has been going for the pooscicles lately and we can't figure out why - he won't touch the fresh stuff?
Yes I have seen dogs only eat frozen, that is how it started here with my BOY! I was told it was not common for males to do it. He started about 2 years ago eating the tiny frozen nuggets that belonged ONLY to my Maltese. But it has since progressed and any poo in our yard is now fair game.
I either follow them around the yard and pitch it as they poo or I keep a very close eye on them (my youngest gal is a poo eater as well) and in between outsite time I scoop.
Join the poop eating club. Many of us experience it.Either dog or cat. Ernies favourite party trick is to bring it in and eat it in front of guests.
I have tried pineapple, shouting at the poop, spraying nothing works. The only thing to do is clear it up before they eat it.
If the pills and pineapple don't work for you (definitely try these first), all you can do is supervise and correct as needed. Try your best to nip it in bud now because when it becomes habit it becomes almost impossible to break them of it. I regret not doing it sooner when my Maisy first started doing it -- we have been battling with it for almost 6 years. :
