I saw in a previous post that you switched Larry to ProPlan sensitive stomach and skin and then to another food. Did you like ProPlan? I think you gave me some advice in a post in odds and ends regarding food. My springer has smelly ears that get infected quite often and my lab chews her feet all the time. Anyway, I was feeding Purina One chicken and rice. I just bought a 8lb bag of ProPlan Sens skin and stomach but I wanted to check again on here before opening it b/c I can still return it.
We had Larry on ProPlan Sensitive S&S for about 8 months. It agreed with him well: his ears were great, he didn't chew on his feet, and his coat was good, too. I really like the fish-based food (minus the smell, haha).
The reason we switched him from this food is because we wanted to try a more all-natural food with fewer preservatives. This has done wonderful things for his attitude, since the preservatives from the non-holistic foods really seemed to jazz him up.
I think trying the Sensitive S&S seems like a great step for you and your pups. If, for some reason, this food doesn't work out for your dogs, please feel free to pm me, and I'll give you even more suggestions! I happen to have a mother who is dog food OBSESSED, so I've learned a lot by proxy.
