I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

I have a 13.5 year old male lab - Jake - and, as best as I can describe, while going for walks (on leash) his front leg "collapses". He catches himself before he hits his head.

He basically lives in a "hood" because he will lick his front leg at the joint until it is bloody.

I have been thinking that maybe he may have some kind of bone cancer.

He went to the vet in August and he generally seems to be in good health.

Any ideas out there? Thanks, Jakesperson

It could be a lick granuloma. They can be a life long problem or develop at any age. However I would have him in for a recheck exam.

Bone cancer will generally present itself with swelling and tenderness. Again I would suggest a recheck.
