Our 9 week puppy has developed a cough, started 2 days ago, I think it might have been the change in temperature here in South Florida, it's been around 80 degrees and for the past couple of days it has dropped into the 60's. We take him out during the night.... 1:00am, 3:00am, 6:00am, could the change in temp. have caused it. Last night he coughed a bunch of times, during the day he does better. Her nose was also a little wet.
His vet visit (first time visit) since we got her is on Saturday noon, What do you guys think,
Should we just wait for Sat.? 2days away?
Are lab puppies that fragile to temperature changes?
In really cold climates do you need to cover the puppies somehow?
Sounds like kennel cough. You may want to call up your vet.. they will know if it is going around in the area.
If it is.. you need to keep your dog away from other dogs as it is highly contagious.
In my experience it usually runs its course in a few days... (but my pup was older... 14 weeks... when he had it)
No they are not that fragile to temperature changes there is something else going on. Like Lindsay I'd suspect kennel cough.

Kennel cough can get very serious very quickly. I vote for a trip to the vet sooner rather than later.
I'm Jenn. Keeper of two labs in my home and one forever in my heart.
Throw the ball, damn it!
Thanks for the replies, she has only caughed a few times this afternoon, hopefully she will do ok tonight, if not I'll take your advice and call the vet.
