    DefaultChanged eating habits

Since Hershey was a puppy (he's now 2 1/2) he has eaten at approx. 6:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m. For the past week, he has lost interest in eating. He might eat his breakfast and 2:00 p.m. and then never touch his supper till the next day sometime. He seems perfectly normal/healthy in every other way.
Do dogs just get to a certain age where they don't want as much to eat?

Has he always been reluctant to finish a meal?

Generally, no, they don't get to a certain age where they don't eat as much unless they do so from the beginning. If one of my food crazed Labs stops eating I KNOW there is a problem. If Joker or Trick who sometimes self regulate their intake don't eat I pass it off as normal.

All of my Labs have always been tremendous eaters..Even one of my elderly/blind labs, Cheyenne, till the day we had to put her down, she ate like a horse, and never passed up a meal!
Too me, if this kind of behavior lasted more than a day or two, I would get him checked out..
Usually if a Lab isn't interested in eating, there's a problem!

Are you feeding him anything other than his dog food? Table scraps, peanut butter, cheese, ect...? If you are this might be the problem, he's holding out for the good stuff.

He has never been reluctant to finish his meals before. He gets some "people" food, but not very much. Last night he actually ate his supper as soon as I gave it to him.
