The vet's office called late tonight to say that the results from the aspiration was that the spot on my lab's "parts" is a cyst! THank goodness.
We are going tomorrow morning to find out what to do now. Do we leave it there and see or remove it in such a delicate place. Also, do we wait just in case she was to get another MCT ( I hope never again though as she has had 9).
She has had three cysts this year, so I wonder why she is now getting these???
Will let you know tomorrow what the outcome is. Thanks again for all your thoughts.
You must be so relieved.
Yes, we are happy. The vet said that it is not a mast cell tumour. The pathology report says that it is probably a cyst.
Now, since it is in a delicate area and she has an innie down there, What to do.
We are going to leave it alone and monitor it just to be sure that it doesn't get bigger or irritated. Surgery to remove would be the last resort as infection and other problems would almost be guaranteed.
Thanks for your thought.
Wow...GREAT news!!!!!! Whew...breathe a sigh of relief now.
