    DefaultChicken and rice for diarrhea

So we got Jersey back from a weekend at the kennel and he seems to have some diarrhea. I totally trust this kennel though so I'm not too concerned at this point b/c he's still eating like a horse...but I need to firm up his stool.

Since I am officially the worst cook in the world can someone please give me step by step directions for cooking rice and chicken for my baby? Thanks!!

    Uh oh, poor Jers!!!!!

Get the boil-in-the bag rice, toss it in boiling water for 10 minutes. The chicken (boneless obviously!) should also be boiled. Make enough for a couple of days and keep in the fridge until it's time to feed.

    Good luck!

I get boneless, skinless chicken breasts and boil in water for 20 minutes. You can do the same with the flash frozen ones.

Another recipe that I have used in the past with success and is a little easier then chicken is hamburger. Just brown it, drain the grease and add rice. I cook one cup rice with 2/3 cup water in the microwave for 3/5 minutes let sit for 5 minutes. Mix that all together. It has stopped Bailey's stools from being running almost instantly. Good Luck.

You can boil the burger also. Just add to water and boil till done, then drain off the water.

Its very easy, Its almost the same with human chicken soup.

    ingr:
    2 boneless chicken breasts
    3 cups water
1 cup short grain rice (the cheap one for soups, no uncle Ben rice)
1 tbs olive oil (if the diarrhea is bad don't use any- I use it for the vitamin E - instead use some lemon (Vitamin C) it kills the germs -just 2-3 drops)

    method

I cut the chicken in cubes or stripes but you can cook them as they are.
Boil the water, add the chicken, cook for 15 min approx., add the olive oil and the rice, cook for 10 more min, or until the rice is cooked and the food is like canned only a little thinner. Wait to cool.

So how did it go Tamara? What did you end up doing?

hamburger. Just brown it, drain the grease
If you use hamburger, not only drain the grease but rinse it really good with water. Better yet, boil it
