What's the scoop on peanut butter? Is it good for dog's in small quantities. We have always used in in our dog's Kong toys and they seem to love it! Thanks for the feed back! Coopersdad
Is it good for dogs? no, not really. It is very fatty. It is absolutely fine in small quantities though. Great for sealing/stuffing a Kong with.
ours love the occassional treat and when the jar (big kraft ones) is finished we usually give it to them to "lick the bowl" very funny half hour to watch!
I use the reduced fat peanut butter just to seal the ends of the kong.

I use peanut butter for giving pills...they love it.
I don't use the reduced fat version of anything, if you look at the calories they are pretty much the same as the regular stuff and there is less "fillers".Originally Posted by Brigettas Mom

It is fatty, but in small amounts I would think it would be okay. I use fat free cream cheese in my Kongs, the dogs love it!
We use PB for giving pills, too.

The cream cheese is great for that, too, it slides right down.Originally Posted by Bob Pr.
