Defaultswitching from puppy to adult food?

ginger is on purina ONE large breed puppy food. i bought a bag of diamond lamb meal and rice today instead of buying another bag of ONE. currently ginger is getting 2 cups in the morning and 2 cups at night. ONE is 404 cal/cup and i saw that diamond is only 337 cal/cup. i will ease her into the new food but when she's just eating diamond...should i increase the amount she will get? she exercises for about 45 minutes a day. oh and she about 6 1/2 months old and about 55lbs.

fat, slim, or just about right?

she wouldn't stay still so this is the best i could get. as you can see the fur and stuff on the last picture...she kept licking the lens.

Looks slim to me. Do you feed anything else besides kibble?

She looks good. Nice coat, nice waist and not too skinny. Just right!

Should you incease the amount you feed? probably not. I would keep her on the same amount and gradually DECREASE feeding. At 6-7 months she is at the age (slowing down in growth) where you should slowly reduce the feed. I don't know if Diamond is a good quality feed or not, but assuming it is, you probably eventually want to decrease her to 3 cups.

I think her weight looks good for her age! Good job!

I would just feed the same amount for now....like the others already suggested.

When we switched Grace from Innova Puppy to Nutro at 4 months, by Nutro's calculations we should have been giving her like 5-6 cups. I just gave her 4 a day and she did fine. At about a year, I dropped her to 2 cups a day.
