Nemo's cruciate ligament implant did indeed fail. He has drawer sign once again, which is why his limping was more pronounced. I ruled out a TPLO at this point, but we either do 6 more months of steady exercise, trying to build muscle and scar tissue up to stabilize the joint, or we go through the whole surgical process again and put in new implants. Arghhh....Not a happy day.
I am so sorry
So sorry for your beautiful boy. Good luck, whichever way you go.
I'm so sorry. Good luck to you and Nemo!
I repeated my boy's surgery right away because they tend to favor the other leg which can lead to the rupture of that acl which can happen anywhere from 50-70% of the time I've read.
Yes. I have pretty much resigned myself to the second surgery, so the scar tissue will form around a tight joint rather than a loose one. I am also starting to save up money for the other leg, as I was told the same thing...50% chance it will go too. Great. Just great. ;-POriginally Posted by FieldLabLover
Poor Nemo! Good luck and I hope everything works out!
Poor boy ... will be sending you positive thoughts. Good luck!
Frodo went in today for his TPLO, this is not a post that makes me feel better. :'(
How's Nemo doing now?
Wondering also how Nemo is doing.
