I am using Advantage right now but going to start using Frontline on my next purchase. Its only been 2 weeks nad I had to treat both dogs for fleas again.I normally use frontline but wanted to try something different.
So what does everyone else use to control those pesky fleas?
I would suggest getting a capstar pill from your vet to kill all of the live fleas and allow the frontline to kill the rest.

I've used both Frontline Plus and Advantix and they seem to work equally well for Nellie.

advantix here- but have heard that frontline is better if your dog is in the water alot-is this true?
I don't know if that's true or not ... I think both claim to be fairly water resistent. I've used both -- but fleas are not an issue for us, ticks are :Originally Posted by dipete
I have used both and really didnt get the results I wanted from either. I Switched to frontline plus, but he still has fleas. I am right now giving him a bath twice a week and see so many fleas. Vet suggested putting on him every two weeks instead of once a month.
Frontline Plus for 5 years and never a flea.

Same as the majority; Frontline.
Nothing - my dogs don't get fleas or ticks.
