Can anybody tell me if you pour the purple stuff into the ear or do you just wipe it out?
Put it in a squirt bottle and give it a good flush. Make sure you are outside since this stuff stains wicked!
I massage the base of the ear for about a minute after instilling the mixture, then wipe out any gunk that has come up. Then squeeze another dropper full into the ear, and leave it this time. The dog will shake its head so, as previously advised, you may want to do this outside.
I put a dropper full in the ear and then put a cotton ball in the entrance to the ear (just so it stays, not jammed down) and that way when they shake most gets absorbed by the cotton ball and doesn't create such a mess.
Another tip, either wear gloves or smother your hands with Vasaline before you use it or you will have purple hands for a few days, it will not wash of ANYTHING you get it on so be careful.....
Man you guys must be sloppy. LOL. I never stain anything when I use it.

Ditto. And Labby, I love this stuff. Thanks for putting the info up on your site. I no doubt would still be at the vet's without it. It works wonders.Originally Posted by labby

after trying many ear solutions with no success, the purple stuff has been a savior for jazz and we do not use anything else any more either...
