    Defaultpro plan

I went to a mini dog show in our town last weekend and there were lots of labs. As a group we started talking about diet and 90 % fed Pro Plan. The people seemed to think that it was the best food for labs - high in protein and fat for labs.

Which pro plan do you feed? chicken, lamb or fish?

I used to feed ProPlan Sensitive Systems which is the fish. My guys did very well on it.

I feed the regular adult chicken to everyone except Darwin who gets the performance which is also chicken based.

At the dog show most owners either fed the chicken maintenance or the fish diet.

I wonder why no one fed the lamb??

My Joker is on ProPlan Performance. I just had to switch Murph to a holistic brand due to his summer allergies but he will be back on ProPlan Performance when the hunting season begins. ProPlan works really well for us. My other two are on Nutro.

Based on studies, chicken is more digestible to dogs than lamb. If you dog doesn't have an issue with chicken, then starting out on chicken is best for the dog.

Having said that, I have 3 on the new ProPlan Selects Turkey.
