Cammy is 4.5 yrs old and is in good health. Just recently, she has been panting a lot. Even being cool inside the house, she'll be panting. She has no other symptoms as far I have observed.....any ideas??
I know that my 4 yr old Aly pants very heavily. The vet says she is just a heavy breather. ;D
Is there a chance Cammy does not have access to enough water? I know A/C can really dry out the mucious glands.

Throw the ball, damn it!
It could be a medical issue but unless any other symptoms arise I would put it down to the weather. Is it hot in your area? like people, each individual dog tolerates heat differently. Some cope much better than others. While one dog may cool down instantly after exercise or coming in from the heat, for others it can take hours. The best thing to do is just keep her cool.
I never thought of the AC drying her out. She has access to water 24/7. I wonder if I should give her colder water....she did drink from the toilet the other day when we returned from her walk
I'll have to watch her these next few weeks and see how she does.
