I have been doing Zoeys ears since Tuesday with the purple stuff they look so much better. It has really taken the red away and she is not scratching it as much very little. However I swear when I just did she closed he ear. Does this mean it feels better? She never did that when it really hurt her, maybe she can move it better now. That sounds crazy but she never "moved her ear before.
Can you post the recipe when you have a minute?

Yup, that's it. Happy cleaning!
Ok, this might be a silly question. Has anyone found the violet stuff at a "normal" pharmacy like Walgreens? Billie has some ear gunk and is rubbing her ears a lot and I want to clean her ears. I'm headed out at lunch on the search for the stuff to make the purple stuff and I'm wondering if I have a shot at actually getting this stuff at a Walgreens or if I'm out of luck.
If I can't get it what's a good commercial solution just to tide us over until I can find the ingredients for the purple stuff? I don't think it's an ear infection, it's not red, just got some gunk in there (not smelly).
You need to go the pharmacy counter and ask for it. If they don't have it they can usually get it in a day or 2.

That's what I did at Wal-Mart's pharmacy. They had it for me the next day, and I think it was only $3 or so.Originally Posted by Labs4me
CVS pharmacy ordered it for me and had it in the next day, also.
My local pet store had the exact same stuff. I think it was made by Nature's somethingruther. The ingredients are exactly the same

I make the solution myself and absolutely swear by it. Once you've cleaned up the infection you might want to use the solution for monthly ear maintenance. We do it here and have had great success.
