I was giving him a belly rub and felt a lump. It seems to be in his skin. I can grab a handful of his skin and it is in there....not on a bone or organ or anything. Does this sound like something to be worried about?
I would have your vet check it. There are some very nasty tumors that grow in the skin or subcutaneous tissue. Most likely it's nothing serious, but better to have it checked anyway.
I agree, have your vet check it. Tucker had a small lump on his belly some months ago...I've forgotten what the vet called it, but said labs get them, and it'll go away in a couple of months, and it did.
More than likely its a fatty tumor, lipoma, but yes it should be checked.

I agree with everyone else...anytime you notice something out of the ordinary like that it should be checked out...let us know what you find out!
Jacob has a lump on his ribcage that we have checked during his annual exam every year, but the vet always assures us that it is a fatty deposit and that he is fine.
But, please get it checked out!
