I am home from work with Mr. Bubbles, and he clearly isnt feeling too well. He had a nice dinner, with some pretty good enthusiasm....i took him out to poop (since I am now on total poop patrol), and he does his business....and this big THING is hanging out.....along with the poop and the expected ho-ho wrappers, there is what looks like alot of string.......I did not pull on it to get it out, (as I have heard with string or yarn that that can be dangerous), and it was able to get out on its own.
I don't THINK its worms - I know what roundworms look like, it doesnt look segmented like a tapeworm would, and whip worms are smaller - this looks like....STRING.
Do I keep it to take to vet tomorrow to have her look at???
Obviously I will be watching him very closely - if he has eaten string of some sort, we might not be out of the woods yet.
I think I would observe him more closely and at the first sign of anything unusual I would get to the vet. I would keep the string until this passes (sorry couldn't resist the pun) so if you do have to take him in you'll have a sample of what might be causing the problem..
Yep thats what I will do - watch him - I did bag it up just in case.....I think I figured out where it came from though - at first I was thinking it was some cotton yarn I had, and perhaps the digestive juice had bleached it....but then I remembered, we had one of those little butterball turkey breasts on Tuesday....the outer wrapper is plastic string and then the inside is cotton string.....
