hey guys, my lab has been loosing her hair.. I dont know what the problem is because she seems fine. No skin is visible but i often see this small amount of fur under her crate. is something wrong??
Thnx and God bless!
Labs shed... A LOT... it gathers everywhere. As long as you don't see patches of skin, I'd say it's normal.
Labs shed. *ALOT. *Don't you have a puppy? *They do lose their puppy fur ... I'm trying to remember when ... seems like it was around 5 - 6 months of age. *When they get older they blow their coat twice a year. *We're going thru that now. *It makes the puppy stuff seem like nothin' *:
It's not coming out in clumps or anything is it? *That would be different.
It seems to me Labs shed all year long!! ??? Bear was shedding almost all last year and she just recently stopped, I am not quite sure if it is that it was time or that I changed her food about a month ago. As Ender's Mom said, as long as you dont see patches of skin, just get used to it..

Ditto everyone elses. Wanted to add most labs shed year round but they "blow their coat" at least twice a year normally spring/late fall where they REALLY shed and you can pull handfulls out at a time. A puppy will normally blow thier puppy coat and grow a thicker coarser coat around 5 months old. A good bath and daily brushing with a zoom groom will help some.
