Riley had another one this morning. Usually they only happen every 6 months to a year....but his last one was only two months ago. I thought I had figured out what triggered them, but these last two seemed so out of the blue.
The scary part is that since we moved, we now have two stories. This morning he seized within a few feet of the top of the stairs. I am so glad I was home.
My poor baby. I hate it so much when this happens to him.*

Wow, that's terrible. * :-[ *Is it neurological? *Has he been diagnosed with epilepsy? *If so, there's medication for that. *For humans, it's Dilantin. *My nephew takes it. *I hope you will be able to control it. *That could be very dangerous, like... while swimming or something, hmm?
Thanks for the support.*
Yes, he has been diagnosed with epilepsy. But his seizures were so infrequent that the vet said he didn't need to be medicated...if they continue to increase, we may be looking at that option though.*
I'm so sorry. Keep us updated.

aw, poor boy. Glad he didn't fall down the stairs.
I'm sorry to hear your baby is suffering from this. I have a human child that has had seizures and they're awful to see. So glad he didn't fall down the stairs. I hope your vet will be able to find the meds that work for him.
do the seizures happen after the dog gets shots? my tina had three seizures that we witnessed. i emailed her breeder, and she mentioned that some ppl think there's a link between the two. indeed my yellow lab was just 6mos at the time and had just received her 2nd round of shots the week before. tina's 8 and 1/2mos now and no episodes since. good luck!
