    DefaultGrooming question!

Hi.. I have a 2 year old Lab buddy and like any other lab, he sheds a lot. He's on good food, Sea Meal for his coat and I brush his coat regularly and yet get my carpet covered in his hair every 3 days. So i ordered a Furminator type deshedding tool on the internet and got it delivered just today. I was wondering if any of you could kindly guide me on using it. How, how often and how not to? Thanks in advance!

the zoom groom can damage a lab's coat (it has a blade). Best used sparingly during heavy shedding season. May also depend on the dog's particular coat, some have had more success. Just be careful and this is not a tool to use daily or weekly.

I think Dryfo means the furminator can damage a coat.... I personally wouldn't use it at all on a lab's coat. A zoom groom is a soft rubber curry type brush and is great to use. Labs shed. You're going to have hair on your floors, so get a good vacuum

Ah! I was afraid you were gonna say that :-/

Pet stores around where I live don't carry Zoom Groom. Let me search for it on the internet. Thanks a ton Dryfo and Nicole!
