    DefaultCarrots

Right now I am feeding Moses my 6.5 month old lab twice a day
In the morning I cut up two small baby carrots in this kibble ( the carrots that are 1 inch long) and come 50 to a bag
In the evening I do the same thing.
Now is if Ok to eliminate these carrots .....and feed him one big carrot at night (the kind bugs bunny eats or u grow in your garden)
How much is too muck or is this OK..?

I feed those little carrots as treats. Each get about 4-5 per day.

same for Hamilton, he gets a small carrot after his morning walk and a few at night as a snack.

Thanks..love seeing all the pictures I gotta learn to post pic's too.
Reason I ask about the large carrots is ( gave a large one to Moses last week) but not sure ..if it was too much
The good news is with the large carrots ..he played with it.. then it took him 3 to 4 minutes to finish
This gives me a chance to go to the bathroom if needed or quick put a load in the washer etc.
Right now I have to watch Moses every minute . sooo 3 to 4 minutes keeping him occupied is great for me ..plus it is a healthy treat
    I would say 1 large carrot = 6 to 8 baby carrots
If no one sees any problem with a large carrot a day ..I prefer to eliminate the small carrots..Love this forum

You need to cook or steam the carrots. Otherwise, what goes in, goes out.

I've fed raw carrots to my dog once, they came out the other way the same! Raw carrots! I've read that dogs can't digest raw carrots, so maybe yours are an exception.

Carrots are excellent for dogs teeth, eyes, weight control, nutrition and anal glands, not to mention the vitamin A.
