Hi everybody. We’re worried about our 11 month old Maverick. He peed on the couch in the morning then peed in the crate later part of the afternoon that day. He looks sad after incidents like this, he knows he did wrong. This only happens when he’s asleep. It’s frustrating, because he goes to the door when he wants us to take him out, & he sleeps thru the night as well, so we really don’t’ know what to do. Please advice.
He may have an infection. Take a urine sample to the vet and have it checked out.
I agree. Might be a UTI. Call your vet and tell them that you will be dropping off a urine sample for testing

We took him to the vet yesterday. They took an blood and urine sample and we are going to find out this morning what is wrong with him.
Oh good! Let us know OK?

I heard back from the vet he said that Mavericks kidneys where ok. He did say that his urine concentrate was very low, almost too low. He said that Maverick may have a form of Diabetes called DI. It's where the brain keeps telling him that he is thirsty. He wants us to lower his water in take the rest us this week and bring him back in for another test. I also called my breeder to see if any of the other pups from that litter have had any problems. She was very helpful. she even called her vet to see if there was anything he could do for us. His recommendation was that if he did have the DI form of diabetes that at 11 months old we should put him down. It just breaks my heart.
serious, is there nothing they can do??
good luck, I hope everything works out for you
I'm so sorry to hear that about Maverick.Hopefully everything will be okay. Please keep us posted.
How scary - I hope all is ok with Maverick.
