    DefaultSkin conditions

I think Jacob needs to return to vet. Skin problem is looking like eczema or psoriasis? Its not just a seasonal allergy outbreak on his belly and pits. Spots are crusty/scabby, hard, etc. Pics and info Ive been reading about describes him to a T. Oh, my high maintenance boy. Before anyone gets all upset.....He's very well cared for! $$$ on vets in his 2yrs so far. We feed him Taste of the Wild. Anyone have any suggestions? Creams, meds, home remedies, homeopathy?

he shouldnt have an infection for so long, tho i had one boy, who never not had an infection .even with a derm vet and allergy shots.

are you sure it's not something in the food he's allergic too? i know, it's next to impossible to really figure out a food allergy (i have one of those now too, but she barfs)(high eosinophil count which shows allergy to something).

his almost sounds like it's turned into a staph infection which would need antibiotics and maybe even pred (i know, i know)

the only homeopath that comes to mind is colloidal silver but i'm no vet and they will probably poo poo homeopathic remedies.
    perhaps a derm vet first?

I do not know what you have done already. But I would immediately get your dog on a grain free chicken and rice feed, stay with it for at least a week and observe his condition. This totally resolved Barkie's problem.

There are people with a lot more experience on the other lab board, but I don 't know how to get there.
