DefaultWhat do you think this could be?

Ok so today when I got home from work Hunter was super excited to see me to the point where she threw up. Then she went potty(pee) 5 times within a 15 minute span. I bring her inside and a couple minutes later she pees on the floor??? She is running around and acting like a normal happy puppy. I think she threw up because of over excitement. But do not know why she is peeing so much. Maybe she has a uti??? What do you think this could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Vet is closed tomorrow. Might bring her in Monday if this persists.

Didn't you post a picture of her in a pool? Was that before or after these issues surfaced? My guess is that she ingested a lot of water.

If it is not about the pool as Sharon suggested my first thought would be a UTI. I don't get the throwing up because she was excited though. My hubby was recently away for 4 days and I thought Maxx and Emma would turn themselves inside out with their excitement and they get excited over so many things but I have never, ever had a dog throw up from excitement.

Oh I have. It's almost like an acid reflux incident. Sometimes they barf due to a large water intake also.

I'd watch the dog and if it continues then make a vet appointment when they open on Monday. If it's isolated, then it's prolly nothing.

Interesting, but really good to know, I have seen it from too much water but never from excitement! I will have to add that to my list of things not to be overly concerned about in the event it ever happens. It would have freaked me out a little. Thanks!

I've had dogs pee from too much excitement, but if it persists, then I would have her checked for a UTI.

Our female dog tinkles when she is excited. She is almost 4 years old now and has gotten better, but I don't think it will ever completely stop.

Thank you everyone. She seems to be doing better not peeing as much but still a bit but maybe I am just being over worried? Will keep watching her and see how she does. Will call Monday and see what they think.

Sometimes UTI will cause a very strong ammonia smell. Good luck.

I think she just had to much water in the pool as bigbrowndog said she has been doing fine and no more accidents in the house
