    Defaultcauses for diahhrea in puppies

    Hi
Our pup has been doing wonderfully on the new food we tried him out with, his stools were good and he was going 3 maybe 4 max times. Well yesterday my
husband was playing ball with him and the older lab and he was out for probably close to an hour with both dogs.
When the pup came in he crashed cause he was so tired, but about an hour later, he woke up and needed taken out. He had diahhrea which continued until this morning. It was the kind that he could barely wait to get out the door before it came shooting out
Could the exercise have caused this. He also drank a lot of water once he was done playing. Since he has not had diahhrea in weeks (it was a problem when we first brought him home) I'm trying to figure out what caused it so we can make sure to clear it up. I just gave him plain steamed rice with a bit of yogurt in it for breakfast this morning and will do so for today and tomorrow.
    Any ideas??

new food, too much food, often they poop a lot after exercise.

how old is the pup and why did you change from the food the breeder had him on?

we had to change the food as the poor thing had massive diahhrea for days on it, we slowly changed him to what our other lab is on and he is doing wonderfully on it, right up until yesterday, been on it for a few weeks now so not thinking it's the food. not sure if the excessive exercise would do this or not. I did read up on some articles that said it could cause diahhrea so maybe keep him a bit on the low key and see if it clears up. he's very happy, tail just a waggin as he's pooping, lol, so not thinking it's anything to serious. his energy level is right up there. my husband said he was "grazing" a lot on grass yesterday, being a lab, they will eat anything
