    DefaultIs my dog too skinny?

Hello everyone, I have a 75 pound, 3 1/2 years old lab. I am not sure how he should really look. I think he may be a bit skinny. Could you give me your opinion? I will attach a picture.

    Thank you very much.

    Gabriel.

Well, I like my labs nice and lean...so he looks good to me. Being lean is so much better for their joints.
I keep my girls lean-to the point of almost being too lean.
I *know* there are going to be people on here that will say your boy is too skinny, but I think he looks great.

Here is a pic of one of my girls, Moka.
She weighs in at 53 lbs at 3 1/2 years old.
    Nice and lean.
I have been told that she is too lean, but I think she is at a perfect, healthy weight.

Ok wait....in that picture of him taken from above-yeah, he looks like he could use a couple of lbs.
The side pics he looks good in, but the pic from above-a little too thin, even for my taste.

Here is my girl Moka from above:

You can see she is lean...but she is not concave in the midsection like your boy.
I would put a couple of lbs on him-maybe 2-3. Not much.

Fattening up is far far easier than losing weight ! I don't see a problem right now as long as the energy levels are OK !

I think he looks a bit too thin from above. Maybe increase his kibble by 1/4 cup and see if there's a change in a couple of weeks. If not, increase by another 1/4 cup.

Thank you guys. I will increase a bit his food intake and will post back some new pics. He is a very active dog. All he wants to do is play with his ball all day. Also we run about 12 miles weekly. My parents were telling me that he was too thin but they never have had dogs so I didn't give them too much attention.

Edit: I wanted to add that he is not neutered, don't know if it's relevant.

Agree with Gina & Jackie, the pic from above he does look a bit too skinny. Take it up gradually like Jackie said, just a 1/4 cup and see again in a few weeks.

Is he purebred? I could swear I see some GD in him. In that case I would think his weight is mormal.

Yeah from the above pictures he looks a bit thin. My one girl is very petite and thin and i'd like keeping her lean because she already has bad hips and knees at three. I agree increasing his food slowly by 1/4 cups is a good idea.
