    DefaultCan food or bag food?

what food do yous all feed your dogs? I have always gone canned food because of cost, but I have heard rumors and whispers that it may not be best for teh dog. my first dog died of a neuroliogical disorder and now i am connecting dots and wonder if it was some sort of mad cow variation from the wet food (who knows what kind of meet is in there?)

should i switch to dry food or is this wet food suspicions just that..suspicions?

    -Fred

100 Grams of wet food and 100 Grams of dry for twice per day so about three cups in total per dog

I prefer dry too. It helps clean their teeth and I also find it more economical than cans of wet food.

We feed our girls a mixture of about 2/3 dry, 1/3 wet mixed together

It might if it were actually chewed. Dogs are not built to chew their food. They tear and gulp. Since there is no tearing involved with feeding kibble, they just gulp. The "cleaning teeth" stuff is just a marketing ploy.

Mine does chew kibble to an extent. It is large size kibble though. I only feed kibble. I tried adding some water though, but he hoovered it down even faster!

Yeah I have heard that from other people as well (I was asking if I should stop soaking my foster's kibble so that the chewing would help clean his teeth at the time - I got the above answer).
