    Defaultmysterious illness?

Hi everyone, my brother has a 5yr old yellow lab(almost 6) that has been not feeling well. For a week now, she is VERY lethargic. No vomit, diarrhea, or any discharge of any kind anywhere. She still eats at the normal times she always has, and gets up to relieve herself outside. Otherwise she will not get out of her bed and only when he commands her. She actually ran out of her bed and upstairs to see me however tumbled down a few stairs when I blocked her. I did not know at the time she was ill and my brother was happy to see her jump up for me.

Sadie's been to her regular vet, had xrays etc and every vet is stumped. Waiting for an appt at the university with a specialist. Anyone see/hear anything like this before? My brother is devastated that his happy hunting companion is like this right now. After steroids, antibiotics, and pain meds she's still not herself one bit. Thanks in advance

Weird as it sounds, I'd have her tested for Lyme, Ehrlichiosis and Anaplasmosis.

She was tested for lyme's immediately-vet says it's not. Unsure about the other two

Don't know if I would wait for the University. Press them that this is an emergency. Otherwise do you have an emergency vet near you?

If hse hasn't been, I'd take her in and ask for those tests to be done, too.
