Bilbo has been his usual, happy playful self and has eaten fine this morning.
HOWEVER, I just took him outside and he had very runny poo, and it smelled absolutely AWFUL! As in I was almost gagging with the smell ! He hasn't had his food changed, he has all his vaccinations (incl. parvo). I was going to phone the vet, but it is 'emergency only' hours... does this qualify as an emergency, even though there is only a very very small possibility that it could be parvo? He still seems fine and he doesn't have an obvious temperature (I've felt his paw pads and ears).
I want to phone the vet, but don't want to get told off because it might not be an emergency >_<
Please don't tell me I'm stupid for not just going straight to the vet, this happened less than 5 mins ago and I'm just waiting on my bf to get back from the supermarket to ask him what to do (he is the only driver so we couldn't leave for the vets right this second).
From a very short google, lavender is not toxic to dogs. To me, Giardia is pretty stinky also. It has made the vet techs at my vet gag. Giardia is not e-vet worthy in my opinion. how is your pup acting otherwise? Any vomiting, or any signs of a bloaty belly?

Belly not bloated, no vomiting. My bf reckons to take him to the vet tomorrow if the symptoms persist. I agree, but the hypochondriac in me is worried still! In himself, he is playful and happy. We were playing tug of war with his teddy just before he went outside, and he is being his usual self in that he likes pestering us for attention when we are trying to watch TV hehe
If he's playful , happy and eating - pooing - even if it is runny, then chicken and rice for tea and see how he is in the morning IMO!
My guess is giardia. It has a very distinctive odor.
