Hey there all, this is my first puppy and my first post to the forum...I was selecting my first chocolate lab just last weekend and i brought him home to notice a white hairless spot above his right eye...it was located on the upper external eyelid you should be able to see it in the attached picture. My initial thoughts were that it was just a scratch attained from his time with the litter...but other concerns have raised about it potentially being a tumor, cyst, or other complication....any advice would be greatly appreciated and first hand experience or guidance is what i'm looking for Thanks all
Cant help with your problem, but welcome to the board !
He/she is a cutie !
I would keep an eye on it and mention it at your next vet visit, which should be soon anyways.
Welcome to JL!
As others have said, just keep an eye on it. How old is the pup? My first lab, Belle had Demodex Mange when she arrived to me, and it initially looked like a balding spot near her eye. No big problem though, a somewhat suppressed immune system (she was younger than what I was led to believe) was probably the culprit. It never amounted to much, and once she settled in and her immune system kicked in it all disappeared.
Post lots of Picts! We love Picts!!!

With any new puppy you need to have a well-puppy check up. Have your vet look at the spot when you go in. Make sure you don't let your puppy down on the floor at the vet's office. It is a good idea to have the check up the first week home. Good luck.
